Boer's New Zealand roots run straight through this home, from the corrugated exterior to a design language that favors simplicity, light, and a close relationship with the landscape. Working with the homeowners' vision for a compact, all-glass retreat with steel detailing, Boer and his team developed a home that lifts off the ground into the tree canopy, wraps the living space in floor-to-ceiling glass, and uses a cantilevered steel roof to provide shade without interrupting the views, a structurally ambitious solution rarely seen in homes of this scale in the area.
